Andy Brydon is Creative Director and founder of international arts organisation Curated Place. A trained anthropologist specialising in Cultural Placemaking at a city, region and hyperlocal level. He is an established and experienced cultural strategist, festival and major events director as well as a seasoned curator, trainer and arts producer. Leading Creative Europe projects since 2014 he has won multiple national event awards for his work in England and Scotland. Andy has over 20 years experience working in a senior strategic role in arts organisations specialising in international collaboration with city development teams, visual & digital artists, performers, composers and musicians to create high-impact exhibitions and experiences that transform places. Andy was awarded a Clore Fellowship in 2018/19.
ROYAL OPERA HOUSE CREATIVE PRODUCER
Kate Wyatt works with Curated Place to deliver our Creative Producer Training and development. She is also Creative Producer for the Royal Opera House and Founder /Director of the newly launched Opera UK. Alongside she runs Engender, a network for women working towards gender parity in opera. Her networks of leading performers, musicians, technicians, producers, makers and technologists is unparalleled - all of which she shares with a generosity and true dedication to developing the sector wherever she works. Kate has previously been Creative Producer, Opera at Snape Maltings, Concerts Director at Britten Sinfonia and Creative Producer at Spitalfields Music. As a freelance producer she has worked with a variety of organisations includ- ing The League of Pragmatic Optimists, Mahogany Opera, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, NHS Barts Trust and the British Council. Kate is also a qualified and practicing coach.
CURATED PLACE SENIOR PRODUCER
Ciara O’Connell is Curated Place’s senior producer in Ireland - a passionate and experienced arts profession- al. Based in Waterford she leads Curated Place’s Ireland office and has worked throughout Ireland’s cultural sector for the past fifteen years. Ciara has extensive leadership experience through her time working in the high-end festivals, education and the creative industries and has an in depth understanding of Irish events legislation and licensing. She is at her best when she’s assembling, developing and leading extensive teams of industry professionals across complex multi-agency projects, and managing the needs and expectations of stakeholders. Ciara specialises in festivals, music and theatre has run multiple venues as owner and proprietor, strategically led Waterford’s Summer in the City festival and Púca Festival through a step change in activity and has well-developed relationships with Arts Council Ireland, Culture Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
CURATED PLACE FESTIVAL PRODUCER
Alison is an experienced creative producer, project manager and artistic programmer with over 15 years’ experience leading complex project for major venues and private clients. Her background is in both commercial and funded experimental theatre and performance. She has extensive experience in UK touring, opera, international festivals and participatory practice. Her expertise encompasses all scales, working in traditional arts venues as well as found and public realm spaces. She is a core member of the Prague Fringe team working across Europe to bring the best experimental performance together in the Czech capital each year and regularly works with Nordic collaborators. Before joining Curated Place she worked with The Marlowe Theatre, Birmingham Opera Company and Curve Theatre.
