Blanche Giacci

Blanche has produced two variety shows at Theatre Gwaun for International Women's Day in 2020 and 2022, to include local fashion designers and fashion shows, local musical artists including a pianist, an award winning harpist, singer song writers, a choir and a comedian to host the shows. These were fundraising events for the women's refuge, and both were a sell out. Blanche was recently part of the planning committee for On Land's Edge Festival/ Ar Ymyl y Tir in Fishguard. As a trustee of Theatr Gwaun with a role in Events Management, she is interested in all aspects of Creative Producing.

Please tell us about the project you want to develop through the training:

“On Land's Edge Festival/Ar Ymyl y Tir is a festival of all the arts embedded in an intimate engagement and inspired by the landscape, nature and history of the people of North Pembrokeshire. It celebrates the innate talent of local people in art, music, literature, drama and film. It also highlights our timeless links across the sea with Ireland. Based at Theatr Gwaun there are also a range of venues including outdoor spaces, in and around Fishguard and Goodwick. Local and international performers come together to create a rich and varied festival of the arts.

This is a new festival which has run for two years. Going into the third year we are developing processes, programming and marketing and support in these areas would benefit me as part of the planning committee.”
